Hi Cathy,
Many thanks for this pattern! So simple, so quick! Perfect for all the charity knits I’m cranking out…

I’d love to see a gauge for measurement & to ensure I’m getting the size I want.
I seem to have chosen the only size with a possible typo. In the 8-10 yr old directions, shouldn’t the 11 sc in the first line of the thumb section (Row 14) be 12 sc?
Happy crafting,
Diane
I’m so glad I found this post. I made mittens like this years ago and had lost the pattern. I make them double thick by making 4 mittens and putting one inside the other. I had a pair 3/4 done. I got to finish them for my daughter in law, they were such a hit that I had to make another pair for a friend. And having all the different sizes is wonderful, just finished a pair for my granddaughter. Thanks for sharing this pattern. I LOVE it! So quick and easy.
What am I doing wrong…it is too short for the wrist to go on the wrist and the width is not wide enough for my hand…There was not gauge and I used G hook???
I’m sorry you are having a problem with the mittens. Did you use the correct size? Without seeing it or having more info, I’m not sure what the problem is, but will try to help if I can.
This is such a fun pattern and so warm. I am making mittens to donate to Warm Up America and this is my new go to pattern for worsted weight yarn. I do have one question. After row 19 when you fold, what loops should I do the single crochet around in? I just winged it and used the back loop of one side and the front loop of the other. Should I go through both loops, all thicknesses, all the way around? Thank you so much for a great pattern!
I’m so happy you like the pattern! 😊. As to your question, it truly is personal preference and how you would like it to look. My suggestion would be to just do a small swatch and try it by picking up both loops and then back loops and see what you think works and looks best 😊
Hi Bonnie,
I did have a pattern from my Grandma for slippers and don’t know where it is. I did a quick search and found a few free ones with instructions for different sizes. I’ll put the links below. I hope that helps a bit.
Grandmas are wonderful! Thank you for sharing. So quick and easy to work up, using scraps makes for some colourful mittens. I made a couple of minor changes, after crocheting sides together, I turned it inside out and continued to sc around the cuff. Also, the teen size works best with a foundation row of ch 85 and the next smaller size, foundation row works best using ch 79 and the smallest size foundation row, ch 55. I haven’t tried making the other sizes yet.

Thank you for the patterns. I can’t wait to start working on the doll coat and hat. They are adorable.

what is the 2-3 yr old pattern?
Just to clarify your question, Are you not seeing it in the pattern?
